subtlelabs.com is the website of Subtlelabs, which is two companies based in India: Subtlelabs Technologies Pvt. Ltd., which serves our clients in India, and Subtlelabs Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., which serves our clients overseas (“we”, “us”). The company you deal with is responsible for your information. This policy explains, in simple terms, what personal information we collect and how we look after it. Timbba, our product, has its own privacy policy.
What We Collect
- When you contact us — through the contact form, e-mail or phone: your name, company, work e-mail, phone number, what you are interested in and your message.
- When you apply for a job — your CV and anything else you send us.
- When you are a client — the contact and billing details of the people we work with.
- When you visit our website — your IP address, which we use to protect the contact form from spam, and, only if you accept analytics cookies, how you use the site.
Giving us your details is your choice, but without them we may not be able to reply to you or consider your application.
How We Use It
- To reply to you, discuss your project and keep in touch (because you asked us to, and to run our business).
- To consider your job application (because you applied).
- To deliver our work, send invoices and keep accounts (to fulfil our agreement with you, and because the law requires it).
- To understand how our website is used (only with your consent).
- To keep our website secure and free of spam (to run our business).
We do not sell your personal information.
When we build or run software for a client, any personal information in the client’s systems belongs to the client. We handle it only to do the work agreed with them.
Cookies
We use analytics cookies (named _ga) only if you accept them, and they last up to two years. Your choice is remembered for 12 months, and you can change it at any time with the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of every page. Our website does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals; analytics runs only if you accept cookies.
Who We Share It With
We share information only with trusted service providers who help us run our business — such as hosting, e-mail and analytics services — and only as much as they need. We may also share it when the law requires.
Our data is kept in India, and some service providers may handle it in other countries. When information from the EU or UK is involved, we use the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contract terms.
How Long We Keep It
We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons above, or as long as the law requires — for example, billing records for tax purposes. If we do not hire you, we may keep your application for a while in case another role suits you, unless you ask us to delete it.
How We Protect It
We use secure connections, password-protected accounts and access limited to the people who need it.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, give you a copy, or stop or limit how we use it — including for marketing. Where you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To do any of this, just write to us.
If you have a concern, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. You may also contact the data protection authority where you live; in India, that is the Data Protection Board of India.
Our services are meant for businesses and are not intended for children.
